Greek Amphitheatre
Greek Amphitheatre
The Greek Amphitheatre on the campus of Louisiana State University was built in 1925 for holding large events on campus. In its original glamour and glory, the area included spectacular gardens and a reflection pool.
Currently, the Amphitheatre has become dilapidated and in desparate need of repair and restoration. Several of the benches have become cracked and eroded. While some events are still held at this location, it is largely underused by the University populus. The Landmark at LSU student organization, has been working to raise student awareness of this historical location.
