Coach Paul F. Dietzel
"There are no office hours for champions."
Paul F. Dietzel, most recognized for his undefeated 1958 National Championship LSU Football team with half-back-heisman-winner Billy Cannon, has dedicated his life to serving and training young men to become better citizens on and off the field.
Dietzel has coached at United States Military Academy at West Point and University of South Carolina among others. He has served as the Athletics Director of Indiana University as well as LSU. His performance as head coach of the Tigers in 1958-59 earned him both the AFCA and FWAA National Coach of the Year.
After retiring from college athletics, Dietzel became a watercolor painter, and continues to sell his paintings. He is now retired and living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
